The 3DS generation of main Pokémon titles has, like those that came before on DS, included plenty of distribution events for special 'mon. Many arrive throughout the lifespan of the titles, with X, Y, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire all benefiting from some treasured extras.
Many of these distributions arrive in Japan first, but a good number have been making their way to the West in recent times. The latest heading to the UK is a Shiny Charizard, which will be distributed in GAME from 3rd April.
Naturally it'll be supported in all four of the current 3DS titles, and will apparently be holding Charizardite Y (thanks Serebii); this has already been confirmed for distribution in Germany, too, through GameStop stores from 1st April to 3rd July.
Will you be trying to grab one of these?

Any idea whether this is Wi-Fi or code? I'm too embarrassed to walk up to the desk without buying something
@kupocake Probably a code. They normally are.
But there's no reason to be embarrassed. My local Game guys are all very friendly and they know people are popping in solely for the code sometimes.
I might have demanded this be distributed in the states, But I have my shiny baby char that I hatched from an egg with flawless stats. Even a year later I'm so stoped that I hatched that beauty.
Shiny megazard Y is seriously my favorite shiny. Everyone should have one! So bring it to the states anyway and elsewhere, too!
Please come to US.
Idiots in my Game,didn't have a clue last time .
@QuixoticRocket Oh, I've never recieved any funny looks or anything. But I am 28. I always imagine the exchange going like this:
"Hello, welcome to Game, how can I he-?"
"HELLO I AM 28 YEARS OLD AND CAN I HAVE YOUR POKEMON CODES PLEASE"
"Uh, ok sure, how many do you need?"
"CAN I HAVE FIVE FOR EACH OF MY NEPHEWS BUT NOT FOR MYSELF I WOULDN'T PLAY POKEMON OF COURSE EHEHEHEHE"
@QuixoticRocket my local game are massive arse wipes they make a massive deal about teens and adults getting the codes for "kids game"
seriously asking "where's the porn?" in HMV would be less embarrassing but that could be just my local game, its forever having problems "Wii U is just an redesigned will Wii, like the 3DS XL" and "the playstation 4 has the best value for money as it doesn't charge for online"
@kupocake I'm 36 and have no shame
But I've seen the manager battling people in the store before.
You can always pretend to be getting it for a younger sibling? "My brother says you have a mega cherrysword pocketmon? and he wants it"
@abe_hikura Guess it depends on your store then. I've never had a bad service at my local, but I have had disinterested staff (while I've been buying things) at other branches (surprisingly both off those branches are now closed down).
well... at least i can get a shiny Charizard easily enough by hatching eggs.. it's about a 1 in 500 chance. lol
@QuixoticRocket
You're 36 and your brother..... wants the pokemon.... who is probably around the same ago... lol at 36, you're better saying "your son". lol
@ikki5 hah. I don't hide the fact i play pokemon. I'm too old to care what other people think of my hobbies. My 3DS is the Pikachu limited edition and I play it openly on the tube. The only reason I haven't gotten a new 3DS yet is because I expect a Pokemon limited edition soon and I'd rather have that than a plain one.
I was more suggesting for @kupocake who is 28 and could feasibly have a younger brother at the (so-called) "right" age.
Do you have to pay for this code at your gamestop in germany? Or at Game for the rest. Or do you get it for free when asking?
@Konda I am not sure about GameStop in Germany personally as my local stores are GAME stores, but you should not really have to pay for the code anywhere... It is a free distribution.
@Konda
definitely free from game.

"Get your very own free Shiny Charizard, exclusively at GAME. Simply visit your local GAME store as of 3rd April 2015 to pick up your free Pokémon for Pokémon Omega Ruby, Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. No purchase is necessary, simply pop down to your nearest store to receive a code via receipt and follow the instructions below!"
followed by instructions on how to receive a pokemon using a code.
Urgh. It's so annoying having to wait in the queues to speak to an assistant just to get a code. Then they don't have any idea what you're on about and have to ask someone else who has no idea.
Besides I already have like 50 Charizards from previous events. Give me a Mew!
@QuixoticRocket "mega cherrysword pocketmon" is an amazing phrase.
Again with the stupid codes, I just... I give up.
@QuixoticRocket
"Free via receipt". I didn't buy my pokemon gate at gamestop, that i bought on a electronics store. Then I wont be able to get a code by showing my receipt :S
@Konda no. They mean they will print out a receipt with the code on it.
You don't need to have bought the game there or show them anything.
All you do is go to the counter and ask for the pokemon and the will print out a code for you.
It's just a way of building community with the store, it's a free give away.
This is a little late and whether anyone will see this comment or not is questionable. I got codes from GAME for my sister and I to use (I think I'm roughly at the age where they begin to give me funny looks) but when I tried to put the codes in tonight they had apparently expired. This isn't a one time thing either I tried both codes twice with X, Y and Alpha Sapphire and nothing? So yeah, Help?
