Nintendo may be passing on PAX East this year, but it'll make an appearance at next month's Midwest Gaming Classic in Brookfield, Wisconsin.
Held on the 12th and 13th April, the Midwest Gaming Classic is a retro-centric trade show featuring everything from arcades and pinball machines to tabletop board games. One of its most popular events is the Pokémon Podcast, where attendees can battle, trade, and generally geek out about Pokémon. For the first time, this year Nintendo itself will have a presence at the Pokémon Podcast, bringing along a wide array of new Wii U and 3DS titles for fans to try out.
Fans may hope that the big N will use a fan event like this to make a 'mon-related announcement, but only time will tell. At the very least it should be fun for attendees to try out some Nintendo games; are you in the area and planning to go along?

Pokmon Wii U pls?
Was there ever any update on what that one-second clip of a Blaziken and Lucario battling in a street was about? Maybe they'll announce something about that.
A pokemon and Digimon crossover. Yeah people you heard it here first.
Pokken fighters?
@Crimzonlogic They said it was a demo test for something in development and that it's not an actual game. Not sure what to believe.
@ShanaUnite Looking at Bandai and Nintendo's relationship are getting closer, totally possible.
Wish they would do it in Kansas City instead. Would totally poop my pants to go to it.
It'll be something disappointing like that creepy mo-cap detective game.
@noctowl Hey now, don't be hating on Wisconsin! We all know there will be an announcement of a game starring Miltank since Ninty is taking the time to visit the Dairy State. Maybe this will be a Harvest Moon/Pokemon crossover. Raise your own Miltank, Flaafy, etc. in a Harvest Moon 64-style remake...ahhh, a guy can dream right?
@Hy8ogen Heard someone say Bandai Namco got kicked out of Smash development? if that's true then their relationship isn't that good..
@JtotheY Please note that Smash is one of the most highly anticipated game for the Wii U. If Bandai is kicked out of the development, NintendoLife/IGN/Kotaku etc will be all over the topic and talk about it. Hope this answers your doubts
@JtotheY Who told you that? Probably someone wanting to start some trouble.
@noctowl Haha, they could throw in some Step by Step and Happy Days references too. It's a little known fact that Wisconsin is a hot-bed for sitcoms.
VC releases?
A reboot of the Pokemon Stadium franchise would be AMAZING. I don't own a Wii U, but if that were announced, I'd save up money and get one just for that game alone. I love the Nintendo 64 titles that much. Bring back that battle announcer, damnit!
Totally cool! I'm looking forward to going and to hear that Nintendo is going to be there now? REPRESENT! I've gone the last two years and haven't been disappointed. Great speakers, awesome place to get Spotpasses (seriously, checking every few minutes to clear the queue), not to mention lots of games to play and buy. What's not to love?! Now if only the RetroN5 would have come out like they announced at last years' show. A little 'Mon action on the GBA player would be cool.
Before we get our hopes up, this IS NOT E3. This IS NOT Pax East.
The most major thing we could get is an event or Diancie or something minor. This is just a minor event. No Pokken Fighters, No Pokemon Snap, No Pokemon Dance Dance Revolution.
Nothing's going to be announced. It also really sucks this is the same days as the Wisconsin VGC's. what the heck? I'd love to go to this.
Gen 3 confirmed? o.o
@Silent >_< pokemon dance dance revolution can happen! (let me dream e.e)
@Lance168
Well said! We don't want it on DS handhelds for a change. A good old 2d pokemon on High resolution would work great
Hopefully they announce Pokemon Z! A Diancie announcement would be nice as well! I am hoping for Hoopa and Volcanion to be showcased on the show floor!
Gosh dangit. Another convention I can't go to.
Hoenn confirmed.
