Toki Tori 2 may not have a confirmed release date yet, but we know that developer Two Tribes is aiming to release the title on the Wii U eShop as soon as possible. When we interviewed Two Tribes about a month ago, we asked whether it was planning to bring the PC level editor into the Wii U release, and we were told the following.
We have the PC level editor running on the GamePad, and it's a great feeling to be able to touch the level and the creatures to move them around. But the truth is, if we want to have a great editor on Wii U, there is a lot of work left. Right now the editor requires people to take a course at Two Tribes HQ before they can operate it!
It would be interesting to hear from your readers how important they'd think a level editor is for them though.
Whether it was the voices of fans or if it was planned all along, it was confirmed today that the Wii U version will include a level editor that is operated on the GamePad screen. We don't know how substantial the options will be for sharing levels, for one example, but it's good news that this extra feature is making it to Nintendo's new system. We've uploaded some brand new screenshots of the game below, and you can also check out the new trailer that shows the level editor in action.

I love the live updating of changes during editing!
Woop! Got the Alpha test on Steam! It's awesome, so extremely looking forward to this one!
Wow, cool. First day eshop buy from me
OH YES.
That's awesome. The original is great
It's always the puzzle games that get the level editors.. Nintendo should finally "invent" (aka copy) this feature into their 2d Mario games. That might actually be the spark that's the 2D Marios need to finally become relevant again.
YES! Definite day one buy for me.
Good news!
I never really bother with level editors, but I will with this.
Amazing. Time to put my "fiendish-puzzle-creator" cap on!
