Nintendo of Europe just sent out an updated release schedule for the next three months, and there are a few pleasant surprises on there.
3DS eShop frequenters will be able to download Mario's Picross next month, alongside the next in the 3D Classics range Xevious. The eShop will also get its first genuinely new content in the form of Let's Golf! 2 from Gameloft, though no other 3DS downloads have been announced.
Retail-wise it looks like a fairly lean summer for 3DS, with just three titles out in July and August, starting with Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D tomorrow. Things pick up in September with Star Fox 64 3D and Shinobi, though.
Here's Nintendo Europe's list of upcoming 3DS, eShop and DSiWare content coming in the next few months.

I must be in the minority here, but 3D Xevious is an instant buy for me.
Lessee, what games on this list am I interested in?
Snake Eater of course, and Prof. Lautrec also seems interesting. It's sad that there aren't many other good games on the list (except maybe Star Fox, but I'm just not interested in that game ), but that leaves more money to buy games already released!
I want games for the holiday not for as soon as we go back to School here in the UK and November when we are also at School/Work etc. So I have the end of July, the whole of August and 5 days of September off to play what....??? Pacman & Galaga, or maybe Dual Pen Sports! I'm reallllllyyyyy looking forward to those.... (for people who don't know the last bit was said in an extremely sarcastic voice, if only the comments section used a microphone)
What about Netflix?
Mario's Picross for me. Can never get enough Picross.
@MaxiMillionG Netflix is an American service, if I'm not much mistaken.
The games in that list that interest me are Resident evil: the mercenaries, Metal gear: snake eater 3D and maybe Pac-man & galaga: dimensions.
"I must be in the minority here, but 3D Xevious is an instant buy for me."
No your not. I own several versions of the game, and I want to play it in 3D as well. Xevious fans unite
@James Yes, but it seems to be on the Wii and Xbox over here. It would certainly dissapoint me if we weren't to get a movie streaming service this summer on the 3DS and the US region would.
@MaxiMillionG Interesting, I didn't know they were available there! However I would say, as usual in these cases, hope for the best and prepare for the worst
From what I've seen Pac-man + Galaga looks cool and Starfox 64 is very tempting after how awesome the OoT remake has been. Nothing that's a "must have" for me though.
After seeing how awesome Excitebike 3D was, I'll be buying Xevious 3D prolly instantly!
@B4SDR4G Yeah, we know Mario Kart's a holiday title, and there's no chance of Paper Mario launching this year. We know next to nothing about it.
Xevious 3D will also be an instant buy for me. I have a thing for any top-down spaceship shooters.
I'm interested in Shinobi, Crush, Metal Gear & Driver Renegade, which should be released in September, too.
still nothing really interesting for the 3DS.... (I mean in the Retail category)
Still no Cave Story, in any form, portable. But Xevious and Mario's Picross are insta-buy.
Damn it Nintendo, you're going to force me to buy Star Fox just because there'll be nothing else to buy. Oh well.
Oh goody. After finishing OoT3D, will be using my 3DS purely for Virtual Console for a long while yet, then.
MARIO'S PICROSS! Don't shaft us on this one like you did with Mario's SUPER Picross, GOT IT, NOA?
Already have the original cardridge of Mario Picross, but I really recommened it to others. Really interested in 3D Classics Xevious and a some of the retail games.
@B4SDR4G Yeah, Bart Smit&E-Plaza(It's the same company) always do that. They also have weird teasing boxarts for upcoming titles, like this one:
Here's the link to the page: http://www.eplaza.com/3ds-paper-mario-3d
^^ WOAH! Is that the real boxart for Paper Mario? Real or not, holy paper Rosalinas, Batman, it looks good!
Mario's Picross so soon? This and Donkey Kong '94 were my most wanted vc games. I assumed I would have to wait a while for them, I'm glad that Nintendo have put 'em out first.
why are there so many games missing on that list???
The list on the nintendo site is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay longer. Harvest Moon Grand Bazaar coming in September.
This is the german release list:

Pac Man and Galaga Dimensions and possibly Star Fox 64 for me there along with a couple of 3DS eShop titles. Maybe Dr Lautreau pending reviews
Guess Super Mario AND Mario Kart 3DS are coming out November-ish
Star Fox, Shinobi and Crush all in September. Ace.
I actually just picked up the cartridge for Mario's Picross two days ago, and for the life of me, I can't figure out how to play!
I will be saving for a 3DS, or something from the other co.s
Nice, both Mario's Picross and 3D Xevious are instant buys for me as well!
Mario picross will be downloaded by me when I have a 3DS! Picross games are awesome!
any one know when that rolling western game will come? I really like the look of that game. Oh, and is Xevious any good?
@Jamouse: Xevious is a fun little game. It's one of the oldest vertical shooters though so don't go in expecting something like Super Star Soldier or Musha.
yahoo's!!! i'm lucky i got the european version of the 3ds(they sell BOTH north american and european here in UAE) most of the good games come first in european version
@Mully No, I was saying that Bart Smit & E-Plaza(Dutch Retailers) are nearly always lying about release dates and boxarts.
For all the criticism and scepticism that Nintendo deserves at the moment at least they release amazing games on the 3DS' VC.
