Ahead of its North American launch on 27th March, Canadian gamers can experience the 3DS at one of two venues as part of Nintendo's official 3DS launch event.
On Saturday, 26th March from 6:00pm to 12:00am; Toronto, Ontario, and Vancouver, British Columbia will be hosting the special occasion where gamers can spend some quality time with the handheld ahead of its release. Multiple gaming stations will be available where games like Face Raiders, Nintendogs + Cats, Pilotwings Resort, Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition, and many more will be playable.
The earlier you head down, the more time you'll get to spend with the system, plus, you can win 3DS toques and t-shirts (subject to stock availability). At the Toronto arm of the event, Virgin Radio will be in attendance and giving away 3DS systems on an hourly basis. The only thing better than a 3DS, is definitely a free one!
Electronics retailer Future Shop at Yonge-Dundas Square, and Robson & Granville will both be open from 12:00am so if you weren't lucky enough to win one, you can splash out on a 3DS as the clock strikes midnight.

Can't wait to check it out — hopefully this week!
Darn... Darn Darn Darn... No love for Albertans. Oh well, I'll be in the States that week anyways. Still, I'm happy to see Canada getting some attention.

Not for the launch event, but if you click on the link in the article, you can see that the tour still has a few dates left in Montreal this weekend.
Look at all the Canadians, eh?
Hmm. Don't think I'm going to drive to Toronto. Or am I? Naw.
I was just in Toronto today. I hope I can go...
Need to find a moment to drop by Square One this week... it's a 45 min drive each way for me, so hopefully I'll be able to find a convenient opportunity. Really want to try the damn thing before I buy it. Although the pre-ordering has been done already. Not too interested in the launch event, seeing as I'm picking it up from a local store anyhow. I do like swag though
Oh man, I might have to plan a road trip! Where I live Michigan isn't very close to any of the 3DS stations.
Once again Winnipeg get left out in the cold.
Meh. Not really that exited. Besides, Vancouver is too far and Toronto sucks.
I think Vancouver would be the closest to me... but I'm not about to go in for the 13 hour car ride. If they'd hit up Edmonton or Calgary I could maybe make one of those.
@zezhyrule was going to say that myself!
Yeah!!! Vancouver!
"The ears of Toronto... ...are burning"
NOOOO!! Scott Pilgrim's head is on fire!!...oh wait, that's just his hair.
Come on, we Albertans have the most money! : P
