Zelda: Breath Of The Wild: Master Trials - How To Find Every Item

I guess I'll come back to that article in a month or so if I really can't figure it out. I'm quite hyped with that DLC, and happy I came late to the game : I'm not sure I'd have come back if I had finished it already.

@Tibob Actually I finished the game about a month after its release and I've been hungry for more zelda ever since. The DLC and its hard mode is the perfect opportunity. So I guess it is a good timing for a DLC release

I have not started yet on the DLC. As I got so much to do lately. But I am looking forward to it.

I'm going to be honest, the real reason I bought the DLC was because I really loved the game and wanted to show my support for the developer's hard work. This content is more of a bonus to me.

Hey can someone let me know, do you just GET the thing that tracks your location over the last 200 hours or do you have to go find it somewhere? That's the only thing I super want to have right away, everything else I'm fine exploring for, so I'm not sure if I want to watch this or not.

I may as well use the treasure chest finder in the game. They're probably the only ones left in my game. That's when I buy the DLC of course.

So I clicked the article then scrolled straight to the comments without looking at anything. I'm so tempted to look at this and save myself, who knows how long, but at the same time don't I wanna spoil it. Such a dilemma!

I dont see the fun in wandering around aimlessly for several hours, and even then you might not find it.

I haven't read it as I want to find it on my own, but does the game provide any sort of hints as to where to look? Or do I have to wander the world and hope I just stumble upon it?

@SanderEvers And the quests just become listed in the Adventure Log as soon as you launch the DLC or do you need to hunt the NPC that triggers the quest?
(I'll only be able to play the game in a few hours)

@FantasiaWHT Just so you don't feel so all alone, I haven't started the game yet b/c I was waiting for the "map enhancement" feature and I'm pretty much paying $20 just to have it. My kids are mostly done and looking forward to the Trials but I doubt I'll ever get that far, I just want to walk Link "rjejr" in script and post it on Miiverse (playing on Wii U).

Is it OK if I use the list just to avoid anything Tingle related?

Can you switch a current in progress file over to hard mode? I feel way too OP and I've only beaten one Divine Beast and am worried that Gannon is gonna be a breeze. Did too much exploring before I tried enagaging any story after getting the glider.

Not going to read the article, but looking at the image on the link I am still at war with myself. The collector in me sees that Tingle suit and says, "Well, you HAVE to find it!" But the inner me, that finds Tingle as creepy as hell, says, "Oh, no you DO NOT!" Arg!

My question is what of save files. Last I was aware we only can have one save file per profile, do we have to delete that to play hard mode?

I purchased the DLC Pack but when I checked my Switch before heading to work the Pack 1 elements hadn't downloaded. Is there something I have to do to make it download?

I found every DLC item last night on my own except for the Tingle shirt, which was in a location that somehow hadn't yet been marked on my map. I only learned that after searching back and forth across Hyrule Field for hours, and finally caved and viewed a YouTube video to get the location. If I hadn't who knows how long it would have taken, since areas are marked only after you've visited them and this place (trying to avoid spoilers for those who skipped the article) is kind of "out of the way" compared to most of the DLC items. One thing that genuinely impresses me about BOTW is that even after HUNDREDS of hours of play time there were (and probably are) still places I hadn't yet visited or simply overlooked.

While a couple of the items are VERY well-hidden and may require some folks to eventually get the locations from articles like this, most of them are pretty easy. I definitely recommend giving them all a try on your own first.

CaptainToad, you need to do a manual download from the Main Menu screen. Select the game with either X or the + Button to go into the submenu, I forget which, but then you simply select "Update Software" (if you already have the latest version it will tell you). Hope this helps.

This doesn't show where to find the switch shirt. I am still looking for that.

@Dang69 I'm going to say no to switching mid-game as the main title screen lists Master Mode under New Game and Continue (or maybe it's Load, but ti's on that main title screen) and above amiibo and DLC. Which personally I think is kind of nuts, but I was never going to play on Hard anyway.

My kids are more curious if you need the master sword to enter the Trials and therefore have 13 hearts. They are way past that point but we were curious if you can just start doing trials whenever. I still haven't started yet, now might be the time.

The Switch Shirt is in one of the chests you got on the Great Plateau area; it was immediately accessible once you purchased the DLC. I forget which chest, but all of them are located in the general vicinity of one of the Shrines there (a different chest for each Shrine). Hope this helps.

@ShadJV Hard mode is a second save so you can continue your playthrough in normal mode and start up hard mode under the same profile if you like.

I am beyond surprised that they wouldn't put the tingle gear in tingel island. I guess that would be a bit too on the nose but still

@UltraLaserTen So this means I could ramp up the difficulty on the game I'm already playing, without having to start a completely new game?

@Dang69 It dosen't increase the difficulty of your current playthrough. It acts as new save data, so you can switch between playing on your current save and playing from the beginning in Master Mode.

@FantasiaWHT Just open up your map (when you have the DLC and updated the game) and press X and the green line is where you have been the past 200 hours. You can also press A when it's open and it will show you walking all over the map as well as changing the speed of the movie thing by pressing the up or down arrow

and @SM4SHshorts that was kinda cruel saying they have to find it then not giving any info on how...

I love that you need to find the items through quests. I just assumed they would appear in the inventory. At least you need to play the game a bit to earn them.

The clues they give make these so easy to find anyway!

I got them all on my own except for the phantom helmet. I didn't think to check the coliseum since I thought it wasn't apart of Hyrule Field. Oh well, got more Deku Seeds and found the Midna helm by accident lol

Same here - been wandering around Hyrule Fielda long time to find Tingle's shirt just because the location's name wasn't on the map. Rest was easy.

@BezBot My bad, I thought he was referring to the Travel Medallion. Yes, then you're correct good sir!

@FantasiaWHT Sorry, I thought you were referring to the Travel Medallion. As for the path tracker thing, you get that straight away - no need to find and obtain it!
