And ah yes, a bundle for a free game. That doesn't annoy me at all.

I mean games like Roblox does it too (Roblox Xbox One Bundle) and that kinda annoys me too, but at least Roblox has multiple experiences, and the Roblox bundle also includes Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, so that's a plus.

When I was a kid, I promised myself to never become an old out-of-touch person that doesn't understand the newest music or hype things anymore.

But I broke that promise long ago.

I haven't played Fortnite for a while, but this is pretty cool.

I would much rather have a Minecraft Switch console, though.

Those Joycon colours look pretty awesome. The design on the Switch and Dock look like random crap doodles splatted around. No thanks for that.

If we can get those Joycon colours separate (and without the crude bus) I'd be down.

I cant wait for a kid to get it and then regret that decision 2 years later

Reality is though that it might end up being a high value collectors item. So the kid can at least buy an adult Switch if he sells it.

Ew, no thanks. The Joycon colors look kinda cool I guess? But other than that, this bundle reeks of shame on so many levels (i.e. a free game being "included" in the bundle, a free game riddled micro-transactions, etc.) It's a smell of shame most sound-minded people can pick up the closer they get to adulthood... meaning little kids will be begging their parents for this bundle for Christmas.

@Xenobound94 Free games can't make money without microtransactions. As long as it's not pay-to-win the microtransactions can be completely ignored.

I... I feel like an outcast. I personally love Fortnite and still play it pretty often. And can someone explain why they hate the game past “it’s popular” or “Minecraft good, Fortnite bad”? I understand that the community is toxic little kids, but wasn’t pokemon? Or Minecraft? Just ignore the community and play with people you know you will have fun. That is what I’ve done. And you can’t beat the events. They are like nothing I’ve experienced in a multiplayer game. Well I went a little of the rails, but for this bundle, nah. I’ve already got a switch and don’t need another one.

@Xenobound94 ‘riddled’ with micro-transactions is a bit disingenuous. The micro-transactions in Fortnite are incredibly fair and totally ignorable. It’s actually one of the better examples of how to do F2P.

Honestly I think the designer of the switch dock looks great to perfectly match the switch’s fortnite theme! Sure people say that it’s not great except the joy cons but I overall like the designer of it (and people don’t like it because they think the game is “dead” )

@WickedUnicarnBoi hating on fortnite is a popular pastime for many gamers, and i agree, ignore the pop-hate. Its silly to hate on games just because they dont appeal to you. I'm an adult gamer who's played about 200 hrs of FN and think it's amazing. I've also beaten Dark Souls without a guide, and finished Enter The Gungeon. But i guess im a casual scumbag for liking FN. ;']

Heh, let me be clear and say I was being sarcastic in my original comment. Sincere apologies to everyone who didn't catch on (and no, I don't mean that sentence sarcastically in a meta sort of way). Fortnite is definitely not my kind of game. I'm really not into F2P kind of games, so if it's your thing, by all means keep enjoying it. With that said, I do find it pretty fishy to "include" a F2P game with a console. Sure, you get some in-game goodies with it, but... ugh. Just seems a little tacky all things considered. Again though, you do you.

As Fortnite is unavailable in it's current form on mobile this might actually sell pretty well to parent's who's kids are missing out on Fortnite on the go

Wouldn't call that "gorgeous" but I guess looks are subjective. Definitely sticking with my Animal Crossing New Horizons Switch system. Now that's the definition of "gorgeous!"

@Yanina I somewhat am the same, new rap sucks and I always dug 90s and early 2000s stuff. Metal and rock seems to keep getting better, however and I'm sure you like many other games kids do, so we're not really out of touch, just with a few fads that will come and go. Hope they hurry up.

Really wish they would release Save the World on switch considering its the only mode worth playing on Fortnite.
I'm not a fan of BR games but the lack of progression in Fortnite absolutely kills the fun for me - at least in Warzone you could grind towards unlocking the weapon attachments etc.

A limited edition for the literal worst place to play it.

But it might help move some units this fall. Is fortnite still popular?

It looks like it's the same price as a base Switch, so this would be great for those not willing to shell out for a game just yet. Think of it as kids or more casual gamers dipping their toes into the Switch ecosystem.

Never really played Fortnite so I don't have a clue what the pictures are, but I think it looks quite nice. I like the colour scheme. Good to see more and more themed Switches, like the 3DS.

After Epic’s disgraceful actions with Apple I really don’t like them being supported by any company. What happens when they start refusing to adhere by Nintendo’s rules. Will they kick them out the store and withdraw this bundle?

It's literally sold here in Minsk, but outside the joycon palette, I don't find it exceedingly eye-catching. The ACNH design is more to my liking, and can even be found here as well... as a flea market item, and I'll leave it to curious people to google and convert 15000 BYN by themselves.😐😅

Themed consoles should be based on first party games in my opinion, I’m over getting limited/special/exclusive/themed consoles because they are more often than not an eyesore, Fortnite as a game sucks in my opinion

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I have nothing against Fortnite, but I think this is kind of ugly. The Animal Crossing games do absolutely nothing for me (OK, everyone gasp in horror, but it's true), but the AC themed Switch was gorgeous. I almost wanted to buy it even though I'm not into the games it's based on.

I like the Warriors colors, but not a fan of the Fortnite stuff. That said I bet the tweens are going crazy over this.
