Flower Coins are necessary to grab a number of things in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, such as badges, Standees, and, err, a few Wonder Seeds. All right, so it’s mostly badges but it’s especially mostly Standees. With 144 to collect, you’re going to have to drop a lot of moolah to get them all.

Playing the game as standard will provide you with most of what you need, but if you need more, we’ve found an effective and straightforward way to grind them out. It’s not the most exciting, but it’s simple, quick, and very reliable.

How To Farm Flower Coins

You’re going to want to go to the Expert Badge Challenge Jet Run 1 in Pipe-Rock Plateau.

Playing this course and grabbing all the Flower Coins will provide you with 13 in total, and considering each run can be knocked out in under a minute (including the flagpole, overworld, and loading instances), that’s about as fast as you’re going to collect them.

One thing we should note is that collecting the large Flower Coins will net you 10 of the purple lovelies the first time you grab them, but as soon as they’re ‘greyed out’, they’ll be only worth three. As such, if you haven’t completed this course already you’ll net 34 Flower Coins for your first run; just something to bear in mind.

Our best runs have come in at an average of 52 seconds per full cycle, meaning that you’ll be grabbing one coin every four seconds, or a whopping 900 in an hour.

If an hour of playing the same course again and again sounds like hell, consider that this course is also super consistent and reliable, owing to the Jet Run badge keeping your speed constant, and a perfect run requiring only a single directional input. As such you can easily split your attention between this and your seventh binge-watching of Over the Garden Wall, making the whole ordeal infinitely more manageable.
