Animal Crossing Accent Walls - How To Change The Colour Of A Single Wall In New Horizons

Accent walls! They're all the rage. But up until now in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, we haven't been allowed to have them — only boring walls for us.

But the 2.0 update has changed that for the better, because now we can change one single wall to another wallpaper. Hooray!

Animal Crossing Accent Walls - How To Create Walls

First of all:

1. Go to your house
2. Go to the room you want to have an accent wall

From here, you have two choices:

The Hard Way

1. Get the wallpaper in your pockets
2. Walk up to the wall you want to change
3. Select wallpaper
4. Select "Set Accent Wall"

You did it! HOWEVER. You can't take that wallpaper off without going into the decoration mode, so if you don't like it, or you want to change walls... you'll have to do that.

The Easy Way

1. Go into decorating mode (down on the D-Pad)
   
2. Open your storage (right on the D-Pad)
3. Go to the wallpaper section and find the one you want
4. Face the camera towards the wall you want to change
5. Hit X to set as an accent wall

How to remove accent walls

For removing accent walls, you just repeat the process:

1. Go into decorating mode (down on the D-Pad)
2. Open your storage (right on the D-Pad)
3. Go to the wallpaper section and find the one you want to remove (it should have a little green-on-white tick on it, indicating that it's in use)
4. Hit X to remove the accent wall

Easy peasy!
