Soapbox Let's Get Happy Home Designer Into Animal Crossing: New Horizons
My villagers have no RESPECT for interior design
So, unlike most people, I have actually played Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer. I don't blame those of you who didn't — it's a weird little spin-off that peters out pretty quickly, and lacks a lot of the liveliness of Animal Crossing itself, but... well... there's something special about it all...

Looking back on Nintendo's most evergreen of series
Like most games made by Nintendo, the story of Animal Crossing – Nintendo’s charming social life-sim series – begins in Japan, with a man named Katsuya Eguchi. After he nabbed a job at Nintendo in 1986 he was forced to move away from his hometown of Chiba and relocate to Kyoto, the city where...

News While Other Toys-To-Life Products Struggle, Sales Of amiibo Continue To Grow
In your face, previous fiscal year!
It's fair to say that the Toys-To-Life party is pretty much over now with Skylanders, Disney Infinity and LEGO Dimensions all seemingly at the end of their natural lives. You might assume that the same would be the case for Nintendo's amiibo line, but Nintendo's latest financial statements suggest that...
News Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Has Sold 1 Million Copies in Europe
That's a lot of happy homes
It seems like Nintendo is in an odd spot with the Animal Crossing series, right now. After the launch of Animal Crossing: New Leaf—arguably the best entry yet—it seemed like the natural next step would be to expand on that game in the next home console entry, but Nintendo instead chose to follow it up with Animal...

News Pokkén Tournament Holds On In UK Charts as Mario & Sonic Fail to Hit Olympian Heights
A decent week for Animal Crossing, too
There was a new retail release on 3DS in the UK last week, though an initial look at the charts don't make that immediately clear. Really curious about this title. I love the franchise and I hope this functions more than just a quickie knock off.
Hopefully this will allow you to import furniture, or even better, a villager into your AC WiiU game.
Another cash cow? If it requires purchasing cards or additional download stuff in order to play it, then I'm not interested.
This is a very risky move for such a beloved franchise. I personally don't like the Amiibo implementation at all. really Nintendo should be thinking of making a full fledged version for Wii-U.
I'm interested, but getting this depends on how much the cards will cost (especially now that there doesn't seem to be a Wii U core game in the works, they better be flippity dipping cheap), and how many cards per pack. I'm dissapointed that they didn't make this a whole game in itself (but that's business for you).
I thought this was dlc for Animal Crossing New Leaf. If the games are separate experiences, you can count me out.
Does anyone know if I'll have to have the NEW Nintendo 3ds to play this game??
@pinknightmarexx there is bundle with the game + nfc reader + amiibo card
@Ben_Rage_V2 ya, this game is a separate game. Nothing like new leaf though
@Natethederp you're a year and a half late to this discussion. Thank you. In all this time I didn't figure out that they were separate games *sarcasm
@Ben_Rage_ V2 oh, sorry. I just joined yesterday
i think this game needs more love
@mosskit you got your wish
