Am i right in thinking that dream cast discs will play on a wii. only tries one of these smaller discs and goes in for a few seconds, then ejects, Wii didcs work ok

No, Sega Dreamcast games will not work on a Nintendo Wii.

The reason Wii discs will work is because it's a Wii.The reason Dreamcast discs WONT work is because it's a Wii.

This is Dreamcast and it was made by Sega. Its disc are the same size as standard disk. Seeing as it is The Ultimate Gaming Machine it's disk will only work on it.

This is Gamecube. It is was made by Nintendo and certain models of Wii, also made by Nintendo, can play Gamecube disc. Gamecube disc are smaller in size than a standard disk.

If your Wii can play Gamecube disc it should look like this on top.

I would kill for my Wii to play DreamCast discs.
