Why play a linear platformer on console over handheld? What's the advantage there?
Better graphics, better sound quality, not having to stare at a small screen, a more comfortable controller. The same reasons why someone would choose any game on a console over a handheld. Handhelds are smaller because they're portable, not because they're made for small scale games.
@skywake: Yea, I'm sure they wanted more out of it.
But yea, at this point, it doesn't really matter. They made the decision to go with TF and they got what they got. Anything over a million sales is nothing to sneeze at, regardless of the system. Personally, I enjoyed the game, and I still go back to play it from time to time. I'm not a big Metroid fan, as I said, so it probably would have gotten about the same play time from me - nothing major, but a nice game in the end.
Not dated. I don't need a native 4k AAA gaming beast but I want a modern, fast, advanced system that's accessible, affordable, and fun. modern online smooth os great games. Give me that and i'm happy.
