The Animal Crossing: New Horizons Switch is extremely beautiful, but if you own it, you might be a little peeved that there's no matching Pro Controller. Peeve no more, friends: PowerA has unveiled a couple of new wired Switch Pro Controllers designed around Isabelle and Tom Nook.
Now you can get your sweaty hands all over Tom Nook's stupid face, with preorders open on Amazon.com for $25 each. The controllers have not yet appeared on Amazon.co.uk.
PowerA have a history of making these officially-licensed Nintendo controllers, with Cuphead, Mario, the Master Ball, and Minecraft all serving as inspiration. They've made Animal Crossing ones in the past, too, but the new ones are much simpler in design.
The two controllers will be released on February 14th, just in time for Valentine's Day, and include a 3.5mm audio jack, mappable buttons on the rear, and a "standard ergonomic layout".

Love these, shame they wouldn't be worth picking up as we only have Lites.
I once got a power A controller and it started to drift after 3 months.
Kinda made me sad.
I've recently gotten a bit more positive attitude towards 3rd party controllers after experiencing the amazing 8bitdo controllers, but these ones look so cheap... you get what you pay for with these I think.
Great visuals, mediocre tech, id still buy it
Not for me but I'd buy one with KK Slider, Blathers or Redd on it. 😃
These controllers have poor quality.
@Expa0 I picked up an 8bitdo SNES model, and absolutely love it. Perfect for those games that really make you rely on the D-Pad for precision.
Sadly, I've become a bit too snobby to deal with wired controllers. I have to pull the console out from the entertainment center to have the cords stretch to my couch.
Sorry, PowerA. Your designs are great, but I can go back to the cord tethering of the pre-Wii days
These always look so cool, but I never really get interested in buying them, mainly due to the fact that they lack in features compared to the actual pro-controllers.
hope they do NL ones too
@Mr_Persona I thought you meant Nintendo Life at first.
I've got a few of the wireless Power A controllers and find them very good, though I think the first-party Smash version of the Pro Controller is the best.
I'm so glad that there are so few Pro Controller varieties as I can't justify buying these wired/subpar controllers, and I'm drowning in Joy-Con as it is.
Love the designs though; even more so than the Pro Controllers.
Omg Brie is totally buying a couple of those Isabelle controllers. One to use and one to keep in the box 💕
@BaeDanvers Let me just whip up a quick news piece about it
@Desrever Agreed. The wire looks detachable in one of the photos too. It would be nice if there was a wireless option, but I guess that's not the case here.
@Clyde_Radcliffe xD that would be nice for the people who works on here though!
Oh those look really good.
But I have too many controllers already.
I can really recommend these New versions. I got a Blue one of these. The analog sticks are improved, they have paddles and the best thing, they have a headphone jack. They even work really well in reaction
@Moseb PowerA was never a good company to completely begin with!
