Are you a sucker for RPGs? Will you be grabbing any of these titles while they're reduced on the eShop? Let us know in the usual place.

Can someone please get publishers to understand 10% off is not a sale to be proud of.
Sincerely this cheapskate.
@XenoShaun Not buying until there's a sale of more than 10% off isn't exactly the best look either. Consumers are entitled to demand value for their dollar, of course, but they never seem to acknowledge that producers are simultaneously entitled to demand value for their work.
...Who's Kemco? Only one of these I've heard of is Asdivine Hearts.
As an avid JRPG game player there is one word to describe Kemco’s games. YUCK!
@Tyranexx Kemco has been around since the 80s. In their earlier days they did do some development work like the excellent Sword of Hope II, but they've always been primarily a publisher. Over time, they've shifted to near exclusively publishing mobile-first RPGs.
@River3636 Most of what they publish isn't that great, but there actually is some good stuff. Monster Viator and Dragon Sinker are both really good and not a huge time commitment.
@dsparil Ah, I have heard of Sword of Hope II, though I've never played it. I do like RPGs, but are any of these offerings worth it?
Patty and the Hungry God is a good throwaway game, and to be honest one of the most enjoyable premises to a game I've ever played.
Hey Sis, I found a God who is going to help us run our tavern!
(Authorities come in and close it, take all their money and assists)
Wait ... what are you the God of?
-Poverty
There's always a 50% discount on two or three of the 3DS ones, what's supposed to be special about it?
I recommend Yodanji if you're looking for rougelikes.
@Tyranexx Like you, I've only heard of Asdivine Hearts, and that is the only one of two games in this entire list that got rave reviews on NLife:
https://www.nintendolife.com/games/wiiu-eshop/asdivine_hearts
https://www.nintendolife.com/reviews/switch-eshop/ydanji
So, depending on whether or not you like REALLY old skool RPG's to play on your Switch, or if you want to play a 16-bit inspired one bad enough to fire up the ol' Wii U again, there might be something there for you.
@Captain_Toad Rouge?
Dont get these games!.
Even if they were offered for 0.00 euro wouldnt even dream of tarnishing my switch with this garbage.
@ThanosReXXX ...I think I'll pass in this case lol. The two you linked look great, but I'm already drowning in JRPGs right now. XD Appreciate the detective work!
These games are vastly over priced for their overall quality to begin and other than a few recent ones that seem to have stopped looking like the really cheap mobile games they are they probably aren't worth it even at these prices.
Kemco is an old big Japanese developer that made tons of NES, SNES, N64 games, etc. just like Nintendo, Konami, Capcom, Namco, Square, Enix, Koei, and Tecmo. I'm glad they're still around.
Nowadays they're great for retro style JRPGs that are just a few bucks. The one's I played were all pretty good, at least if you're into classic Final Fantasy (1-6).
I don't get the negativity about Kemco here. It seems some people just check out the graphics and give them a pass. Sure, they don't produce masterpieces, but they are normal sized 30~40 hour games which is pretty good for the asking price. Also, most other small budget RPGs are glitchy as heck but Kemco still has old-school quality control.
I noted down Marenian Story (especially since it should be the next month's first payday before it expires), but time will tell. I'm swarmed as it is, especially for the end of December; I know it's on me and my 2000+ eShop wishlist, but that's gotta be the first time Deku Deals dumped 400 items in a single mail to my inbox. 😅 For all my appreciation of Kemco fare, they have too monstrous competition here.
Don’t want to be rude, but there’s a bunch of Atlus RPGs on sale now on the 3DS that are actually, you know, good. Not mention a whole load of RPGs on Switch from Ni No Kuni to Saga Scarlet Grace. Why is a Kemco sale, of all things, getting its own news entry?
I’ve also heard elsewhere that Yodanji is OK, and Asdivine Hearts isn’t terrible. But seriously, there are better options... (Sorry, Kemco)
@Tyranexx Haha, no problem. And you're welcome.
@Krull Nothing rude about it, in my humble opinion. I think that almost everyone with a basic knowledge about JRPGs would know that Atlus is one of the better developers.
Came here looking to see if there was any "Top Gear" game somewhere in the list, I guess I'm just old in that that's the only franchise I think when someone mentions Kemco.
@SKTTR @dsparil I still wonder why they don’t release their back catalogue of games. One of my favorites was Lagoon on SNES. Had a great intro and music too.

Only one I played was Revenant Saga when it first released on the Switch back in 2017. It's not a particularly remarkable game but it was one of very few JRpgs available on the Switch at that time. I enjoyed my time with it, but now there are just sooooo many options. If you want a cheap rpg that'll last 30-40 hours, it's not bad price to pay. But if you can splurge more Octopath Traveler and Dragon Quest 11 are far better games. Bravely default 2 is also around the corner, and then there's the breath of fire games on the NSO. Plus we've also got all those final fantasy games and romancing saga games.
Baaaaarf. I wouldn’t play their games on someone ELSE’s dime.
I've had a lot of fun with Yodanji; I should get around to unlocking all the yokai.
