Woah, this STILL isn’t out? I swear I played Shovel Knight years ago but if that isn’t an excuse to play this gem again, I don’t know what is.

Finally!!!! The wait is nearly over. It'll be fired up day 1 without a doubt. This is such great news and im hoping it's as good as shovel of hope and spectre of torment.

does this update also included in the 3ds version?

This is great news and it's wonderful to see that they followed through with all the promised content. That's going to serve Yacht Club well for future projects. With that said, man, this one took forever.

Seeing Shovel Knight end is somewhat bittersweet, but that doesn't underscore its brilliance. Easily one of my favorite platformers of the last decade.

is it worth a double dip? i bought shovel knight as-is for like $10 on the eshop when it was on a big sale. i haven’t played it much, but it seems fun. i usually stick to physical-only but the sale was good and i felt splurgy. i really want the physical but i’m hesitant to double dip.

Long as I can do King in 3ds I'm good. That's what I have treasure trove on

That's all well and good but will it be available for owners of the Wii U version? I know it's dead and buried but some of us still play wii u.

Got my physical Switch version pre-ordered. I'll probably play King of Cards on PS4 if Amazon doesn't deliver on time (again.) Glad Yacht Club are wrapping this up so they can get to work on Super Shovel Knight, Shovel Knight 64 or something else.

A poor report, I assume the 3DS version is getting this final update too.

@Arbor I’d double check that you don’t already have the ‘Treasure Trove’ version. I’m in the UK, and I’ve just had a quick check on the eShop here and you can only get the Treasure Trove or the stand-alone Spectre of Torment chapter.

Chances are you won’t need to double dip and your game will just update to include the new modes.

It's really special that this didn't end up cancelled for Wii U like many other originally Wii U games in the Switch era. I'll be playing on Switch but I'll still load up the old Wii U to do the updates.
