This week Nintendo is hosting a tournament in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate focused on the heavyweight fighters in the game. You know, characters like Bowser, Donkey Kong, Ganondorf and King K. Rool.
As usual, this event will start later in the week on Friday and runs for a total of three days. Above is the promotional artwork for the event, courtesy of the official Japanese Super Smash Bros. Twitter account.
Will you be booting up Smash Bros. to duke it out with these heavyweight hitters? Leave a comment below.

There are a couple heavyweights missing. Incineroar and Piranha Plant are really heavy and are right after Ganondorf (Charizard is exactly right after ganon but that prob would have been complicated).
Piranha plant is heavy..? @Ardisan
@Optimusultimus They're the 8th heaviest. https://www.ssbwiki.com/Weight
@Optimusultimus Yeah actually. He counts as a heavyweight since he is the 8th heaviest in the game.
Edit: Oops, looks like someone beat me to it. They got sources too.
Finally my main gets the respect he deserves.
Have never tried a tournament yet as have been focusing on World of Light, Spirit Board and Classic mode. There's just so much to do in Smash I can't keep up.
No Ridely pisses me off, a giant space dragon with a cybernetic and robotic skin should be as heavy as Charizard atleast. But no, Space dragons way less than a plant 3 times smaller than it. That's the only thing I don't like about this game, other than that I love it.
"A big event"
For you.
Isn't Ganondorf the only non super-heavyweight in this tournament? I'll be playing either him or K.Rool in the event.
@Luffymcduck I think they ment the ones are the most dmg user..
@ClockworkMario
It's a joke... 'cuz they're big fighters. Get it?
You know what would be big though? Putting the tournies back at two stocks... at least!
@Big-Pepsi No
The fact that he weighs the same as Samus (Or I think Samus is heavier????)
is triggering.
