Smash of course.
Smash! Got my pre-order for the deluxe version in ages ago.
Would appreciate reviews of Everspace and the Sega Classics collection... pretty interested in both.
This week alone almost makes up for the lackluster 1st party games this year. Mario Tennis Aces actually might be the worst 1st party title I've ever played.
@Leuke We have a review for Sega Genesis Classics right here, Everspace review will be posted as soon as we're able to! 😊
This week is pretty insane.
Salt and Sanctuary physical for me. Smash is obviously the heavy-hitter, but it just isn't my kind of game.
What will make more money digitally this week:
SSBU
or
every other digital purchase combined?
Not a good week to release a game on Switch. Even though it seems like a lot of them come out next week, or last week, or last month. Why is there only 1 list again?
When will Katamari Damacy Reroll release in Europe? I see confirmations but no date.
I'm waiting until Christmas as I've bought the Smash Steelbook and GameCube bundle for my brothers and I to open. Katamari Damacy Reroll is the perfect game to pass time until then.
Not only is there Smash but also Katamari and Sega Genesis Classics.. I really can't keep up with this system. I already got a pretty good backlog thanks to the Cyber Monday eShop sale and it doesn't look like I'll be catching up any time soon .
Smash and possibly Everspace!
@ryancraddock
Switch is perfect for these old game collections.
Is there a review for the Atari Collection coming out?
I'm hyped that Katamari is holding the highest percentage besides Smash and Sega.
11% is kind of low though, you guys all need to buy this game. $30 is hardly too much money for a PlayStation 2 game that was HD remastered and is in its purest form since everything after we love Katamari sucked.
If you are judging this game based on Graphics then you clearly don't understand what this game is about, it's a stress relief game. And if you're judging this game based on demos you played on the Xbox 360 or the PS3 then just know that those games were crap compared to this.
Anyone who's a gamer and likes a challenge will buy this game. Anyone who plays games because their friends do will just buy Smash Brothers and can cry when no one comes over who plays with them online.
Yawn, another football game in the guise of a Neo Geo game. I would rather use Cristiano Ronaldo's scrotom as a speed ball punch bag.
Good to see Smash Bros in time for Xmas though.
Gasp Even the indies selection is pretty good this week, with Beholder. Guacamelee 2, and Kingdom: Two Crowns. Never mind Smash, Sega Genesis, Katamari and the Arland Atelier trilogy.
@ryancraddock Awesome, thanks!
@w00dm4n It's a little too early to say - there's no Switch release date just yet - but hopefully nearer the time. 🙂
SMASH!SMASH!SMASH! I want to smash I want to smash good!
@BubbleMatrix82 Well I mean, Katamari Damacy is a much better title for physical IMO than Smash or a Sega collection, that's why I'm not downloading it.
Katamari for me.
Only Smash Bros, but I'm not buying it digitally....I got it pre-ordered for a discount from Walmart during E3.
Seriously, NoA, that you can write Pokémon but can't write Mônica???
Hang on. Smash is out tomorrow!?! Why wasn't I informed?
Any chance of them fixing the issue where the Arcade Archives stuff is a week behind? It's been an issue for a while Nintendo Life.
🎵 Colors Weave into a spire of flame! 🎵
Some excellent non-Smash Bros titles coming out this week that I want, but I have plans to get them elsewhere than the digital shop.
That includes Guacamelee 2, I hope it gets a physical release.
The choices are extremely easy this week. Everspace is preordered (my first digital preorder EVER as I’m beyond excited for this game), Super Smash of course is an obvious one, and of course Sega Classics Collection. I’m soooo excited to dive back into Landstalker and Shining Force and all those games again wow. Excellent week for my thumbs, terrible month for my wallet... wooweeee
Smash, Smash, and also Smash. thankyouverymuch
Can't wait to play Smash; will also try out the Katamari Damacy demo.
Route 16, huh? I remember the name, but I was a young kid in 1981 so I do not remember the game at all. So I'll be grabbing that one.
Is that "Smashing Brothers" game any good? Not familiar with it so I'm kinda on the fence.
My God, Call of Nightmare lives up to its namesake and not in a good way. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Xmh832PqYQc&t=59s
Nothing for me.
Edge Of Eternity is on Early Access on Steam... so planing my weekend on that.
@NybroCymerej Your trolling of anything football related is tiresome, you need to get a life.
No downloads, but I'm getting Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Katamari Damacy, and Sega Genesis Classics. Just not this week (aside from Smash since I pre-ordered) since I'm kind of broke right now.
Smash physical and Desert Child for me. Something about Desert Child is telling me it’s a safe bet. Gonna give it a chance.
Per my local Gamestop, Smash Time is 12 hours from now!
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
People who aswered Noting To week... When the game of the year is here...
@FredBiletnikoff I already have a life..... An NintendoLife.
I will not suppress my dislike for "the beautiful game"
There's only a few that actually interest me:
Arcade Archives ROUTE 16 — Odd as it is, I had to scan my memory banks and YES! I DO remember this simple arcade game from back in the day
I will get this mostly for my retro collection and nostalgia purposes, but that's about it
Everspace — Manticore, Starlink... space epics keep drawing me, yet I haven't dove in on any yet, and this just adds to the backlog for me. Hopefully I'll see a review for it.
SEGA Mega Drive Classics — I'm sorry to hear this isn't the "complete" edition of the game by the same name as on other systems with it's incomplete library, which sounds like "same ol' Sega ways" to me. However, I will still likely get my hands on it for what is included at least. Shame on you, Sega. Free DLC later, perhaps?
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate — I have a lot of irons in the fire of life right now, but someway, somehow, this will be bought, even if I have to put ALL OTHER game purchases on hold til further notice. That and I've been inspired to get "back in the groove" after only playing the last few entries for the heckuvit. This one is for the ages!
@link3710 I want a physical too but I refuse to give GameSlop any of my money. Besides, digital means I can have a physical loaded and flip to Katamari for a quick roll then go back to physical without changing cartridges when I'm on the go
Smash Bros Ultimate, but physically.
I gotta get Katamari at some point... but not tomorrow. Tomorrow is Smash time.
Sega classics and smash for sure. Waiting on a review for katamari before making any commitments
@BubbleMatrix82 Wait, is it seriously a GameStop exclusive? I was all set to walk into Best Buy tomorrow and get it.
Twinkle Star Sprites! (not listed, but comes out today on US eShop)
Ugh, just another boring-pfffft, sorry, couldn't say that without a straight face. Already downloaded Smash, is it midnight yet?
@link3710 it wasn't listed on the website before My GCU expired so my guess is if it is coming in they weren't taking pre-orders or doing online sales of it at Best Buy. I'm pretty sure GameStop has exclusive rights to it, which kind of makes sense because it's a niche game and who better to sell you a niche game than a person who is hyped up about games. Most Best Buy employees don't even care about games.
@Vriess Get a USA Nintendo account and buy it early. It's region free.
Na na na na na na na na nana na na na na na nana Katamari Damacy
Smash Ultimate, except it'll be physical
Very excited to see Carcassonne out; I’m fairly certain that’s the first truly major modern board game to be released on a Nintendo system. If you like strategy games, don’t sleep on it! Apparently it’s getting online play in 2019, according to Asmodee’s comments on Facebook.
Everspace, Sega Megadrive Clasics, and Smash.
@BubbleMatrix82
I'm not in that much of a hurry. I'm just a little surprised that it's not available in Europe yet.
Santa Tracker!
Excellent week. I'll be getting Smash, Everspace, Genesis Collection, Katamari and Gucamelee 2.
Did they keep, "Long Story" short?
laughs hysterically at his own lame joke
Katamari I already picking up retail at GameStop
Sega genesis collection
And smash, already on the way tomorrow
@link3710 yes katamari is GameStop retail exclusive.
I'm really not sure what is going to be downloaded this week, like that new Smash ain't gonna make money. I'M JUST KIDDING... Santa Tracker will win it, I know you can
I'm getting Medabots for GBA and GC/Wii for XMas! I became a fan of this recently. I have LBX and so that's part the reason.
Preloaded Sega Classics. Post Pokemon let's go and Phantasy Star games will tide me over till Tales of Vesperia In February. Sega classics have so many good RPGs.
Wait, Atelier is $40 for EACH game and $90 for the full trilogy?
That's quite expensive for a remakes of a last gen series.
I probably paid like $40 for the trilogy collection on PS3 years ago, when that collection was new.
Desert Child - This is a maybe. I'll see how it reviews. For now, it's probably an under 50% chance I'll get it, but that could change.
Everspace - See Desert Child
Kingdom - Will be getting this nearly 100%, just need to decide whether to get it now or wait for a sale. I picked up Kingdom: New Lands on sale a little while back and have had soooo much fun with it!
Rival Megagun - Will most likely pick it up this weekend. I don't have many (any?) shmups, but I've been looking to get into the genre.
Smash - Of course. Getting it physical though, and Amazon will take a while to get it to me in Korea.
Genesis Classics for sure!! 👍
Also not mentioned was Twinkle Star and Double Dragon II. Might grab both of those!!
I'm sure this thread is dead now but I'm kind of angry that Katamari was supposed to drop today and I wasn't able to buy it and start downloading it before I went to work. It seems like to me release dates should be the local time zone instead of some weird planned release date time that the publisher decides but doesn't tell anyone else. Oh well, I hope it's ready when I get home from work.
