The Switch has proven itself to be quite the haven for indie developers, yet there’s been plenty of popular games from Steam and other platforms that have yet to make the leap to the platform. Iconoclasts is one such game—produced by one man team Joakim Sandberg—although he’s hinted in the past about interest in bringing it to the Switch. Fans will no doubt be pleased to hear, then, that Iconoclasts has just been confirmed to be coming to the platform.
For those of you out of the loop, Iconoclasts is a colorful 2D action platformer that’s centered around puzzle solving and boss fights. The game is slated to release “later this year” at some point, and will be bringing with it new difficulty options that allow one to scale the difficulty up or down mid-game, and a Boss Rush mode will also be tossed in.
What do you think? Will you be getting this for the Switch? Have you played it before? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Solid game.
Day. Freaking. One.
Awesome news.
Wonder how long it is before we get people moaning that switch is getting another port.
Aw yeah! Saw a trailer for this one a while back and it looked really interesting.
Now I just need Super Cloudburst and Freedom Planet 1 & 2 on the Switch and I'll be set! ^^
It not being on the Switch is what stopped me from buying it. So...
Was heavily considering getting this on my laptop, but put it off and sorta forgot about it. Definitely getting this now!
R.I.P. PS4 wish list. Hello Switch wish list!
Actually held off on getting this on PS4 as was sure it would come to the switch. Glad I did
It looks freaking good! Another quality indie game coming to Switch, yeah!
This and Pillars of Eternity brings hope for even more future Steam games to be brought over to Switch as console exclusives. I buy too many games on Steam for my wellbeing but I can definitely see myself digging into titles like these solely to have the opportunity to play them on the go.
Cool beans, I've been somewhat intrigued by this title ever since the first screens showed up a handful of years ago.
This looks downright awesome! I will definitely buy it and hopefully it'll scratch that platforming puzzlesolving itch that Shantae failed to scratch for me (Shantae was a great game btw, just not for me).
I'm sold.
Well, my apologies to my Vita again. Although considering several more purchases I made for it last week and a wishlist full of games I don't expect on Switch by now (first Gal*Gun, A.o.T. Wings of Freedom etc), I don't think it would be too jealous.
Looks very interesting. If the price is right maybe I'll give it a try.
I knew it! Didn't want to wait do I have bought it on GOG. It's very good, but I haven't finished it, yet. I should really go at it again.
Looks like I’ll hold off buying a ps vita for now
Yay another port!
(Not even sarcastic, keep these quality titles coming)
I haven't finished it because of school, but definately will double dip, such a nice looking game and fun!
I've heard good things about this, so it's definitely going on my list.
looks good, I thought I recognized the art style.
I opted out of the PC version because I knew this would come to Switch. Hope it'll be fun
Day one for me baby! I've been waiting for this game for over 8 years! It's been such a long time in development and I'm more than excited to play this on switch. Like others I opted out of the pc release in order to wait for a switch version. In addition I hope this game sells better on switch because on pc it's sold around 20k units which is alright but I feel like for a game with this much polish and such a long development time it should be selling more.
Definitely worth getting for those who haven't played it. I would have waited for the Switch version had I learned of this sooner... especially since the PS4/Vita versions are cross-buy, but not cross-save.
The addition of a boss rush mode makes me consider double-dipping...
I was going to buy it when I saw the review on Gamespot, but it's not out yet sigh
