I had a blast playing these again on switch to be honest, the only bad thing was that it was remade by Aspyr and you can tell.

Knights of the Old Republic is a great game. It has some of the best storytelling in Star Wars, so worth checking out if you’ve never played it.

Had a horrible time with both these games. Buggy as heck and must have crashed a total of twenty times for each game.

@BookhouseBoy Do you close your games after playing or keep them running in the background? I only had one crash when playing KotOR on Switch. KotOR 2 I bought last year, still have to finish that one.

I never played this, which is a glaring hole in my gaming history. Might have to see if I can slay me a sacred cow, coming to it in 2024.

So Nintendo's paid service is οffering a "free" game trial of a 21 year old game! On the other hand Sony's lowest paid tier is offering EA Sports FC 2024 full game (not a trial) for free. I find Nintendo's offering lacking

@dimi Base PS+ tier also costs twice as much monthly as the base NSO tier though. Not saying that NSO is great but when you’re paying less you can expect less

@Yosti I always keep them running and it don't usually have a problem with any other game. KOTOR 1 & 2 however would go totally bonkers after leaving them suspended.

I was hoping for some discounts. They have this Star Wars day-banner on the store front, but the only discounted game is a Lego Star Wars one.

A bunch of these Star Wars games got 50% discount. Still not sure what to buy.

This is a pretty huge get for Game Trials, KOTOR is massive. It's just a shame it's also a bad Aspyr port job.

This is actually a pretty nifty way to get people to investigate something that they mightn't otherwise give a second thought to precisely because of the 'it's a 20 year old game' mentality. People can see for themselves if they can deal with the inherent jankiness of some of the systems before committing to the purchase. KOTOR remains a good game and a cracking Star Wars narrative even a couple of decades on from release, so this seems an entirely appropriate use of the Game Trial system.

Dark Forces Remaster got a 30% discount to 20,29 euro. Offer lasts 6 days. The Aspyr games 5 days.
