Just finished Steamworld Dig 2 after grabbing it for 80% off. Excellent game, thoroughly enjoyed it. I knew I would though as I have the first on my Wii U.

Just about finished Sword of the Vagrant.
Beautiful artwork and a great game as well. I will have to grab a physical copy.

Also, my Darksiders 3 PS4 playthrough came to a halt as my save file has been corrupted and I have to start over again....and of course I was right near the end. Grrrrr.
Oh well, thankfully I was absolutely lovong it.

Still playing Disney's Illusion Island 4 player with the family which is a good laugh.

First up, I’m looking forward to checking out Super R-Type, via the SNES app. I’ll also be playing Castlevania: Dracula X, via the Castlevania Advance Collection. On Nintendo Switch Online, I’ll be looking to try Extreme G, as well.

After the indie direct I picked up the new featured puzzle game Stitch. It’s a very welcome addition. The fabric appearing as you fill in selections of squares based on the numbers. The overall pictures are broken down into smaller sections you complete.

It’s challenging and rewarding when you solve a puzzle after being stuck.

I highly recommend to anyone looking for a chill satisfying puzzle game.

Love that tagline haha.
As for me, since I'm still sick unfortunately, I treated myself to a Animal Crossing Switch Lite and started a third and final island - Paldea. Ironically, one of my first villagers is an actual duck (Scoot). Now to find a crocodile and a cat villager next? Haha.
And maybe some more Tears of the Kingdom too. Tulin needs some more help getting into the ark!

I'm playing Advance Wars Returns on Miyoo Mini +, Rocket League on laptop, and Ocarina of Time on Steam Deck. Really loving Djipi's 3DS experience texture pack and the dragon(wyvern) knight Malon mod for Ship of Harkinian. It's amazing how REAL Ocarina of Time looks and feels at 90fps on Deck.
Also loving the Europa demo on Deck, what a cool game. Also started Pokémon Xenoverse on Deck, but it's another Pokémon game that seems stuck at 40fps, so I'll gravitate back toward PokeMMO locked at 90. Oh, I'm also loving the What the Car demo on Deck, and the Biomorph demo too.
And I continue enjoying Blur, Wipeout Phantom Edition, Mario 64 render 96, and FF 7 seventh Heaven mods galore. And I've continued failing to get THUG Pro running on Deck. I might just install it on PC, then decide if I want to transfer it over and try to get Wine and Proton and everything working together so I can enjoy it on the smaller screen.
Tea of the week is Riverbottom, an amazingly delicious Pu-erh. Movie of the week is Bladerunner 2049 along with Narvent and Memory Reboot!

I decided to try and be more outgoing so have some activities booked in this weekend but really all I want to do is keep playing Metroid Prime Remastered. Will get some play time in but not as much as I want.

I spent most of last week playing F.E.A.R. considering it's about 15 years old, it holds up very well. The horror aspects seem a bit weak and predictable, but the firefights were truly enjoyable. I might tackle the DLCs this weekend.

I'm also playing Stitch each day, even if just to do the daily challenge. I also intend to carry on with Assassins' Creed: Odyssey. It's taken me 20 hours just to reach Thermopylae. At this rate I might finish the game by Christmas.

I'm also feeling the urge to go back to either Animal Crossing or Dreamlight Valley. Not sure which will win yet. Or maybe I'll go for a similar game I haven't played before.

@Qwiff Hollow Knight is a genuine masterpiece in my opinion, enjoy!

I’ll get straight to the point. Balatro has got me flush! You might think roguelites are three or four of a kind, but this one is a real high card! Don’t play it with a full house though as you’ll be crying out in frustration when it all goes wrong! Maybe get your housemates a pair or two of ear defenders!

After finishing Freedom Planet 2 last weekend (an absolutely phenomenal game, which would probably fit into my Top 5 Sonic games if I could), I decided to boot up Gunbrella (made by the devs of Gato Roboto). It's quite good so far, but I just wish my demo progress would have carried over.

I'll probably also play some more Splatoon 3, as I want to get in some more practice with the sniper. It's such a difficult weapon to learn, but I often play with my wife and daughter, and we always wish we had a sniper on our team. It's gonna be quite a feat to try and accomplish.

Last week I spent playing mostly Eiyuden Rising. it wasn't that great, but I finished it anyway.

I really need to get back to Suikoden III now - currently I have played through four first chapters (First Hugo, then Lady Chris, then Geddoe, and then Thomas). Now I need to finally play a chapter two, and I think I'll go back to Hugo. It feels like a slow game because I guess I've just spent 15 hours playing nothing but introductory stories lol. But I presume things will pick up shortly as I go into the deeper chapters.

Because Suikoden III is on the PlayStation 3 (digital download version), I find it less convenient to play than games on my Switch, which may have contributed to me finishing Eiyuden Rising even though I was much more interested in Suikoden III. ...

And now on the "something completely different" side of things, I decided to buy Patrick's Parabox on a whim yesterday night because I loved Baba Is You, and wowee, Parabox is fantastic haha. Can't wait to see what ridiculousness awaits me in the later puzzles.

Playing Jusant on PS5. Yes, only one game...

It hit me like a brick that 'Shadow of the Erd Tree' will now be released in <2months... so time to get back into Elden Ring, in preparation for being DLC-ready.

I originally played on PS5 at launch, getting the platinum trophy, but am now starting up a new playthrough on SteamDeck. Runs pretty well on handheld, 30FPS fairly stable with a couple minor dips - very playable though.

Just got through Stormveil castle, and considering my next move..

Still on Freedom Planet 2 and picked up Ghosts 'N Goblins Resurrection in the sale, holds up really well to the PS4 version played when it was first released.

I was intending to play some more Star Wars Battle Front but the recent patch has badly impacted performace on Battle Front 2 even in offline mode. Whereas Mos Eisley ran fine before, its a juddery mess with flickering shadows now. Even the space battles have moments where the framerate just seems to freeze.

This weekend starts a new era of gaming for me. My 4 year old daughter has been super interested in video games lately, and she's been polishing her movement skills in some open world-ish Paw Patrol game on Game Pass.

I went out and bought Mario Kart 8, Animal Crossing & Super Mario Wonder to play with her, and I'm super excited to experience the world of Nintendo with her. 🙂

Just started a second play-through of Xenoblade Future Redeemed for the 1st anniversary of the game

Wrath: Aeon of Ruin, which is rad so far. I'm hoping to pick up Sand Land, but I may have to settle for playing the demo for the moment. Games is 'spensive.
I also thought of picking up X Blades-I mean Stellar Blade, but I think I'll wait until the discourse around it cools down.

My Xbox and Switch will be collecting dust until Im done with Stellar Blade.
My first impressions so far: combat, music, graphics, design and skilltree are phenomenal. I especially love the bossbattles.
Story and VO is fine. Nothing special.
Some of the platforming sequences are annoying but its no dealbreaker.
Im playing completely blind and having a blast. Also love that the game got ng+ where everything carries over. Will be playing Stellar Blade A LOT.

Other than my daily stuff in Genshin Impact, I might not be able to play anything this weekend, as I have to clean out a storage unit, take everything out of the old storage tubs, put them into new ones (which are stackable), and put them in a new storage unit. It could take me several days. I was supposed to start this project yesterday, but I ended up falling asleep a few hours after waking up in the morning, and slept for several more hours.

It's kind of a shame that I can't really game too much this weekend, especially since I just bought Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and Stellar Blade for the PS5 yesterday. And I still have yet to finish Princess Peach: Showtime! for the Switch.

Been playing a whole lot of Persona 5 Royal on the Switch. I’ve also managed to snag The Orange Box so I can finally play Half Life 2 for the first time.

Continuing with Unicorn Overlord though the difficulty is starting to get to annoying levels. Will be taking a break from it when Endless Ocean Luminous comes out, that game looks like the kind of calm and relaxed type game I need at the moment.

I haven’t gamed much this week, either, so the poor people of Fevrith in Unicorn Overlord must be getting impatient waiting for their liberator! Still, I’ll try to clear a few more areas this weekend - I’m on the edge of dark elf territory and curious to see what lies ahead.

I should say Donut Dodo keeps distracting me from my Uni-O mission, though. It’s like a perfect retro-revival port of an early arcade-era game that never existed. Such a fun game!

I recently picked up Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair for $3. (Sale until 5/1).

I’ll be alternating between this and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, both on Switch Lite, depending on my mood.

Picked up a discount 1 month Game Pass subscription yesterday to try out Grounded because I was thinking of getting it on PS5.

I’m really digging it so far. I don’t often play survival games, so this feels relatively fresh for me, and I just really love the world there. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to take down a spider by myself but I hope to.

On the Switch side, I’m still playing one level of Otogi Katsugeki Mameda no Bakeru each day, finding all the trivia and then going 😲The aesthetic of this game is by far the best thing about it. The actual combat is unengaging. But that’s okay, it’s still a light, fun affair.

Also still pecking away at Marvelous: Another Treasure Island on JPN NSO. Same for Shiren 1 on DS.

While I find myself working this weekend, I’ll try to continue my playthrough of Persona 5 Royal on the Switch, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and the Finals on PS5, and if my friends schedules line up, hopefully some R6 or Lethal Company. Happy gaming everyone!

This weekend I intended to dedicate time to Stellar Blade, but after getting the platinum trophy for Rise of the Ronin last weekend, I was trying to find a game that wouldn’t be too long. This lead me to look through my backlog and settle for I Am Setsuna. I needed that cozy, comfortable (J)RPG. I’m currently 90% through and it’s pretty good, despite its handful of flaws.

The first thing that stood out is its minimalistic approach. This was refreshing. The game tells a linear, character driven story that is simple, but compelling. Every party member you acquire has their own unique personality and it’s fun seeing their bond development over time. I don’t think every RPG needs to be this sprawling adventure with a myriad of side quests and mini games. Don’t get me wrong — those things have their place, but it’s nice to have a game that knows what it wants to say and does it in their own fashion.

As I mentioned, there are flaws, or rather pros and cons to several of its mechanics. First of all is the combat. While it is your traditional turn based RPG, it has a sense of depth and customization to it that is fun to toy around with, from varying talisman and abilities you can equip, to team composition that can change the tide in fascinating ways.

Unfortunately, combat is unbalanced. The enemies can move around the battlefield yet you cannot. There isn’t a lot of enemy variety either, so you’ll generally encounter enemies that can self destruct and damage you once they do. And since you’re unable to move out of the way you can’t necessarily defend yourself.

Furthermore, the game does a poor job explaining how its combat systems work. It’s great there’s a lot of variety, but not having a solid foundation in its tutorial system and how things interact with each other can make things overwhelming.

Additionally, one thing that is bothersome is its archaic design in leveling up. You can only have three party members at a time (out of seven). The characters in the background don’t get experience points if they aren’t in combat, so there will always be characters under-leveled. What makes matters worse is that some characters become inactive due to story reasons, and thus there’s an imbalance to management.

As an aside: I’m grinding right now. There is something so trite but relaxing about the grind. All of my characters are at level 45. I’m going to get all party members to level 50 at minimum before doing end-game side quests and tackling the true final boss.

When it comes to the overall map, the environments and dungeon design is one dimensional throughout the entire journey, and very uninspired. Everything is snowy terrain with iced layer dungeons that don’t offer any real thought or puzzle challenges (there is a very charming secret location that actually talks about all of this, in a meta sort of way, and it’s amazing!).

There is also no map markers or quest logs, or if there is, I haven’t encountered it yet during my playthrough. You have to make a mental note where certain locations are at but this isn’t necessarily too hard since the game doesn’t boast numerous side quests, locations and NPCs, and the game provides a fun way to travel later in the game.

Ultimately, while I may be quite critical of the game, it does feature endearing characters and a strong narrative that overwrites its faults. Combat is great and flexible, albeit confusing. There may be a lack of inspiration in its overall game world, but I’m okay with the minimal approach. I’ll definitely be getting the platinum trophy for this one.

Stick Warfare: Blood Strike – playing with my best friend, playing with strangers, and playing in single player to farm and grind resources. I'm a Shotgunner main. Upgraded to tier 1. Yeah, I'm playing mobile bs. Last time I've played mobile bs some years ago... My best friend's monitor broke, so, we cannot continue playing games like Broforce, for example. And we can't play Terraria in co-op. I was playing natively on my smartphone, while he was playing on PC through Android emulator. He has Android tablet, but... For reasons unknown, we can't play it in co-op like before. This sucks.
What's about gaming related things, though...
I had a dream that I was playing Crypt of the NecroDancer on my Switch, lol. Beat mechanic was turned ON, for some unknown reason, and after jumping from one square to another, character died. I don't know if it was because of penalty, or because music ended. After that character died, I woke up. I don't remember who was that character...
Well, for now, that's all what I've played on this week. I hope that I'll be able to play something on Switch later today. Have a nice gaming week, everyone.

Also... I have seen in the comments section that you have interest in getting El-Shaddai. I have interest in this game as well, but... I don't know if this game has dual audio option support. Do you know anything about it? I know that the protagonist is voiced by Shin'ichirô Miki, and I would like to hear him in a proper role... I mean, I have heard him, in Street Fighter ZERO3. He voiced Sagat, but... Sigh He haven't had any proper sentence. Just moves' names shootouts (Tiger Uppercut, for example) and laughing. This is not enough for me.

Fire Emblem through the GBA Switch Online app! Naar the end and hope to finish this weekend

I’ve lately been playing Mario and Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story via Delta for the past week. I’m currently at Blubble Lake, looking for the first sage. I have an 8Bitdo Pro 2 controller, and I just ordered a phone clip for it. Playing with a controller and the phone clip really enhances the retro experience! I’ll definitely play more of that, and I’ll maybe test it out with Mega Man X.

Other than that, I’m going through the Grimm Troupe content with my Hollow Knight playthrough. I’m planning on doing the banishment route, since I’m also going to do the Godmaster content anyway, so I’ll face NKG either way.

I also got physical copies of Bayonetta and the Capcom Fighting Collection, as well as a complete works art book for Darkstalkers.

Same thing I play every day, Switch Sports Soccer (leg strap mode ftw). Been playing it nearly every day since it came out. They took something I always loved, Wii Sports, and made it infinitely replayable with online opponents and pro rankings and I'm hooked. Those 4 v 4 matches are the best, it's just great to score a winning goal when you have 3 other people counting on you. Same with blocking all the shots as a goalie. And I love kicking the ball with my leg and running in place, I swear if other soccer games played like this I'd buy them all.

I installed Star Wars Jedi Survivor onto my PS5 last night, but I might either stop by Pepper Grinder or do a quick playthrough of Uncharted 4, which I've been itching to do for a while. Loved it so much the first time around.

Helldivers 2 for sure, but the real project of the weekend is continuing to put together a spreadsheet that my brother and I are working on. It's a list of all of the games we've ever bought and/or played, including as much data about each as we can (Dev, publisher, time played, genre, etc.). All because we're addicted to stats and want to know how our buying and playing habits have changed over time.

I'm brewing plans of Napoleonic caliber for next weekend, but this one has me situationally limited to but one gaming hardware piece, so... wait, that hardware piece is Switch. I can still make Napoleonic caliber plans!😃😆 There will hopefully be some of the newer stuff from Mato Anomalies and Aztech to Ocean's Heart and Sea of Solitude (and I might already invest two more bucks in Serpent Rogue before its sale expires next midweek, although what to potentially delete for including it into the close range backlog would be another question entirely), one or more sessions among the good ol' JRPG playthroughs (Xenoblades and RFs, DerQ and Fuga, Portia and Harvestella, Atelier Marie and Minstrel Song, possibly First Departure and Eiyuuden Rising, maybe even FFXII and Dragon Quest), roguelites like Isaac and Children of Morta, driving stuff like Wreckfest and Mudrunner, shooters like Bioshock 2 and Borderlands 2, other not-ruled-outs from Far: Changing Tides and Mary Skelter 2 to Noel and Dying Light... he excitedly listed away while starting just one more Powerwash job💀😏

But seriously, this is just the umpteenth weekend to make me wonder how some people can feel any dramatic hunger for a next gen Nintendo successor. Even my other platforms including yesteryear's handhelds have easily lifetime-exceeding libraries of content - and Switch, seven years on, is one treasure trove to rule them all.

I'll finish the original Ocarina of Time this weekend, having only played 3D before, and I'll get more into Paper Mario! Also picked up The Knight Witch on sale, so I'll be checking that out

Tears of the Kingdom for me!

I'm now almost 18 hours into Final Fantasy VII Remake and man this game really picked up. From chapter 6 to a majority of chapter 9 really felt like a bit of a slog but it started to get more interesting afterwards. Looking forward to playing more this weekend!

I guess I'm still kinda stumped as to what I'm gonna play next. I just finished AI: The Somnium Files a couple days ago, and I'm honestly still reeling from the absolute whiplash that game gave me. I've been flirting with the idea of finally seeing what all the fuss is about with NieR:Automata. Though given how intense that game sounds as well, I may take a bit of a breather before that with something chill like Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Anyone who's played NieR, without spoiling anything, is the game really "that good"? I'm really curious, people have said it's one of the best games of 2017, and considering the absolute treasure trove of games that year, it's gotten me intrigued!

Finally decided to go back to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and finally finish the pending Grand Prix cups.
I'm about to finish Mirror Mode, after that it'll be one of the greatest challenges for my aging skills: the totality of 200cc. From Mario Kart Stadium all the way to Wii Rainbow Road.

Depending on the outcome, I may also go back and finish 200cc on the Wii U version. Thank goodness they're less cups in that one.

Other than that, I also decided to cheat my way through Mario Party (NSO version) and let the CPUs play some boards and change them to humans on the last turn while I'm busy with other things. Only intervening when they get to a Boo to stop them from stealing Stars and save those Coins.

Finally finished FF7 Remake. I'm 2 or 3 hours into Intermission and 2 or 3 hours into Rebirth which I was too tempted to start even though I hadn't finished Intermission. Loving both of them so far! I haven't touched my Switch since getting a PS5 a few weeks ago.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Just hit the 400 hour mark, this game is unbelievably amazing. The original AC on GameCube was one of my most played games growing up and I love each of these entries similarly in their own right. What are some other great Switch simulation games that are this mellow and addictive? Or other AC games? I have a few other ones but haven’t played them yet.

I finally got Metroid Prime Remastered yesterday, I've been waiting a long time to replay my favorite GameCube game. I'll continue with Pentiment, and whatever my kids want to play with me, either on Switch or Wii U.

Angry Birds Star Wars II (Windows Phone) - Three starring all levels is going much smoother now.

Now that iOS allows emulation, I’ve been digging into GBA and DS games. This week has been mostly Pokémon Platinum. I played through Pearl YEARS ago, and never got Platinum so it’s been fun.

I've been playing my 3DS a lot lately. I just beat Ever Oasis for the first time last night, and I also replayed through Super Mario 3D Land. I've been thinking of replaying through Partners in Time as well, but I don't want to burn myself out on Mario RPG's right before TTYD. Last weekend, I played through Triple Deluxe again, so maybe I'll replay Planet Robobot.

I haven't been playing much on my Switch lately, just Disney Speedstorm since the Wreck-It Ralph season started. On PS5, I've been playing through the Jak trilogy as I loved the original Jak and Daxter as a kid. I didn't care much for Jak II as it was such a radical change and I found it to be very frustrating. Jak III still isn't nearly as good as the original, but it's not bad. I'm 80% of the way done and would like to finish it this weekend.

I'm not sure what PlayStation game I will start next. Maybe Ape Escape. Never played it, but I've always heard good things and it seems right up my alley. I also picked up Hogwarts Legacy recently for Switch but am iffy about committing myself to a large open-world game. So, I don't know if I will play it before TTYD or not.

Still playing Super Mario RPG. I have 5 stars at this point.

Trying to decide what I’ll play next. I bought Owlboy on a whim at the end of the sale, so maybe that. I’ve also been trying to decide if I want to get TTYD right away or wait (leaning toward waiting so I don’t burn out on Mario RPGs). I also have Fire Emblem: Three Houses which I got last year but never started it because I never actually finished Awakening which I had been playing. I’ve also thought about giving the Pikmin 4 or Octopath Traveller 2 demos a try. I am also curious about Xenoblade Chronicles 3 but I am not sure if I’d like it. I haven’t played any of these 3 series before so maybe one of them would be good for something fresh.

Ah yes, another glorious, backlog-filled weekend. Arcade Paradise finally went on sale for half off so I promptly scooped it up and am loving it. Simulation + mock arcade games to play, rinse, repeat (figuratively and literally)? Yes please! Here's some of the other games I'm getting into.

Vampire Survivor
I'm late to the party, but it was on sale, coupled with the fact that a Contra crossover is coming-- It was enough to finally make me take the leap to see why this is so beloved. It took a moment... reminding me of games like Witch & Hero and Akane along the way... but now it's clicking. One try I got as far as 29:33 before I absolutely started getting creamed (both a glorious run, but a painful defeat). Now to resist one. More. Try...

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Ok. Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed: Ecto Edition's story is done, so that's on its way back to GameFly (until i buy it cheap somewhere), so now I'm ready for TotK again... until Super Mario Bros.
Wonder comes next week to crash the party.

Kirby & The Amazing Mirror
Since Kirby is celebrating a birthday, I'll celebrate by playing a little more of this game for my weekly weekend retro game.

@Not_Soos how was Ever Oasis? That’s been in my backlog since it came out.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3. I want to finish as many missions as possible, until Endless Ocean Luminous releases. What a great game.

I caved and bought Theatrythm Final Bar Line. I'm playing a lot of that this weekend. I also keep having a chill time with stitch. and Persona 5 Royal.

@Novamii Yep. This game is not only about 2B and 2B's b/a(I hope you understood what I meant). There is quite good and interesting story. Characters, even the minor supporting ones, are quite memorable. Music is very good. (Japanese) Voice-overs are really good. Especially Machine Lifeforms' ones. This game can raise interest in philosophy and philosophers in you. I've bought quite a lot of philosophy books/works, after playing NieR:Automata. Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche, Albert Camus, Kong Fuzi/Kong Qiu/Confucius, Immanuel Kant, Jean-Paul Sartre, Aristoteles, Fyodor Dostoyevskiy, Oscar Wilde, Zhuangzi/Zhuang Zhou, Laozi, Friedrich Engels, Karl Marx, Blaise Pascal, René Descartes, Baruch de Spinoza, Kakuzô Okakura, Søren Aabye Kierkegaard... Yeah, I've bought their books/works.

Rain World is the game I'm trying now. I've wanted to play it since it was released but just never got around to it (nor had a Switch until last summer).

@Bucket I played FEAR for the first time maybe 5 years ago and i felt the horror elements were weak too , but thought the ai was great fun to fight against and really enjoyed it also. I played through the dlcs and liked them a lot. I checked the reviews from back when it was released and was surprised the dlc got such low scores. Further investigation revealed that CoD: Modern Warfare had been released and i believe that many reviewers were so taken with its cinematic elements, that the FEAR dlc suffered in comparison. Anyways, i’ll be curious to know what you thoughts are on the dlc if you decide to play it!

Just picked up Beetle Adventure Racing for N64. I used to play it all the time as a kid, thought I owned it but must have just rented it so often that it felt like I owned it. I’ve given up on the hope of it coming to Switch Online as I’m certain Nintendo is not willing to fork over for that VW licensing unfortunately.

I also plan to check out Demon Slayer Sweep the Board. I enjoy Mario Party and Demon Slayer plus the whole idea of turning the franchise into a party game just completely intrigued me. I don’t expect it to be particularly good, but I’m expecting a guilty pleasure.

Speaking of guilty pleasures I’ll also be continuing through Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore. I’m on the 5th chapter now and completed several characters side stories so far. It’s not as good as a genuine SMT, Persona, or FE but it’s not a bad game either

I would like to remind (to all) what «dual audio» means in video games terminology. Dual audio option – is the ability to play the game with the voice-overs and subtitles of different languages. JP voice-overs with Eng subs, for example.

@Diogmites I have started Extraction Point, which picks up immediately after the first game ends. I can understand why the DLC suffered in comparisons to Modern Warfare. Between the AI and the way firefight become engulfed in smoke and dust, though, I find a lot to enjoy with this. I realised I was rushing through, though, so I'm going to step away for a few days and come back to then when I'm in the mood for some meaty FPS combat.

Still playing Unicorn Overlord, but over an extended leave from work I've been alternating that with Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival, made extra fun for me and my two kids thanks to the TaTaCon I got along with the game.

Due to a recent itch for some nostalgia, though, I've been playing some PSP games via emulation, starting with Power Stone Collection (which I still wish Capcom would remaster for the Switch) but extended to other games not on Switch such as Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles, Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars, Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy, Metal Slug Anthology (though I do have the ACA release of MS3 on Switch), and WTF: Work Time Fun.

I'd be kidding myself if I complained I have nothing to play.

Well another jam packed week for another WAYP. Did snag some pretty great games this week like Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes, Saga Emerald Beyond, the Fallout 4 PS5 update, and Stellar Blade. It’s that last one that I thoroughly enjoyed last night it’s absolutely beautiful and loads of fun. Also beat Mario Vs Donkey Kong this week coincidentally the same day I got the Super Mario series Amiibos of Mario and Donkey Kong. Also snagged the Shovel Knight 3 Pack which means I have all the Shovel Knight Amiibos that aren’t gold Shovel Knight. I really don’t count the gold amiibos for anything because they’re just a pain. Think I’m in the last 3rd of AI: the Somnium Files after this weekend and I’ll admit I’m pretty happy about that. As for the rest of the weekend after work I’m thinking some Trails Into Reverie and either WWE 2K24, Persona 3 Reload or Hundred Heroes. Genuinely unsure which hahahaha. As for the rest of the week well it’ll be a rotation of the ga es already listed plus some things like Penny’s Big Breakaway on switch and Pepper Grinder and Princess Peach Showtime or the FFXVI DLC and Dragons Dogma 2 and Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth on PS5. Very excited to dabble in SaGa the most. As for anime I only have two shoutouts today. One of my favorites of Winter I finished and the one I’m most excited for in Spring. Those would be Undead Unluck and The Many Sides of Voice Actor Radio. Oh and of course it goes without saying the GOAT Urusei Yatsura. Still pretty focused on knocking out those shows based on games still and hey I made good progress in finishing both Twisted Metal and Fallout. Fallout especially was absolutely beautiful and amazing. The Ghoul was my absolutely favorite part. Well worth a watch. And for Twisted Metal well Sweet Tooth absolutely made that show and I absolutely loved him. Now tho I get to focus on the thing I’ve been most excited for and that’s KNUCKLES. Can’t wait to share my thoughts on the proud Echidna warrior. Also super excited about EVO Japan this weekend. As for podcasts this week I gotta choose my usuals plus my faves that I finally decided to support via Patreon. Those of course being Castle Superbeast, Big Think Dimension, Into The Aether, RPGsites Tetracast, Minnmax, Jeff Gerstmann, Nextlander, Easy Allies, Kit and Krysta, Windbreaker and Firelink, and as a whole the Last Stand Media family. I could understand replaying the first paper mario game (collect those golden piggus) but replaying thousand year door before the remake is surprising!

Had my final competition in high school this week (choir state) so didn't get much gaming in. I did, however, start up Mega Man Star Force on Friday and have been playing that in my spare time. Been fun so far.

even though the emulation is a little screwy, ive been playing the original paper mario through delta! Its a lot of fun and incredibly convinent to have on my phone. I started a playthrough on my switch through NSO, but i fell off around the toybox area for whatever reason. But with having it in my pocket at a much more consistent rate, i think ill be seeing it through this time around

@versionfiv I’m kind of getting a refresher on the game, since I haven’t played it in a while, and cause the game is one of my top favorites.
And yeah, the remake is coming out later, so I’ll definitely want to play the original to get a feel and used to it for when I play the remake.

Recently started playing endless ocean 2 (modded my wiiu) , then the new one was announced and now have to finish it before the new version (story mode is done, but now earning 1 million pesos to reopen the caverns...)

@romanista I've only ever used the TaTaCon with Taiko no Tatsujin, and there it works absolutely fine with none of the usual complaints I read about similar controllers online (poor sensitivity to hits and the like).

I don't know how it would work with other games, but as it has all of the usual Switch buttons on its lower end I assume one could manage in some sort of cumbersome manner.

@romanista I’m using my 3DS but I would like to try it with Delta too.
